Oman: A tropical depression is expected to affect the Sultanate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Recent satellite images received at "ArabiaWeather" show the continued presence of thunderstorms over the Arabian Sea, which are rotating around a tropical depression that is expected to affect parts of the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.


The tropical depression is slowly moving towards the northwest, getting closer off the coast of Oman, which will increase the opportunity to rainfall of varying intensity in the upcoming days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).


The chance for rain is expected to start, as of Wednesday Night over Masirah Island, and the southern coast of the eastern province.


On Thursday and Friday, the area affected by rainy clouds is expected to increase, as it might affect various parts of the Sultanate including Muscat.
